 LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHERS HOSTING Oh Baby Photography, of Arlington, VA, is celebrating the wonderful year it’s had by sharing it’s good fortune. On the weekend of Thanksgiving, November 24-25th, the studio will be hosting a portrait benefit for Arlingtonians Meeting Emergency Needs, The Arlington Pediatric Clinic, and Doorways For Women and Families. Owner and photographer Liz Vance, along with fellow photographers Stephanie Millner, Julia MacInnis, and Vicki Freuhauf, will be holding 20 minute mini-sessions, with the goal of creating one perfect portrait. In exchange for a minimum donation of $150, in the form of a check made out to one of the three designated charities, clients will receive a fully retouched high resolution image on a CD, along with a reproduction release allowing them to make as many prints as they like, including holiday cards. Many families come to the studio in November and December trying to create one perfect portrait for gifts and holiday cards. Now they can help others at the same time. All the proceeds from the One Perfect Portrait weekend will be donated to the three designated charities, and no other money will change hands that day. All the photographers and other volunteers are donating their time and talent and materials. Liz Vance is a fine art photographer specializing in maternity and newborn portraits. Vicki Freuhauf, in addition to being a fine art photographer, also teaches photography at several local universities. Stephanie Millner and Julia MacIinnis both do weddings and portraits, both of the human and animal variety. Liz is on the board of AMEN, and was a daily volunteer for years before that.
